Streamlining Procurement Processes in the Agrochemical Industry

CLIENT 

Our client, a large multinational conglomerate, operates in various sectors including agrochemicals, industrial chemicals, chemical intermediates, specialty chemicals, and crop protection solutions. Facing challenges with manual procurement processes and outdated supplier information, they sought to enhance productivity, efficiency, and control procurement costs through the implementation of a leading S2P platform’s full suite coupled with ERP integration. 

PROBLEM STATEMENT 

• Highly manual supplier lifecycle management with limited supplier information. 

• Lack of tracking for contract compliance and expiry 

• Changes in business processes post-go-live necessitated modifications in P2P processes and approval workflows. 

• Usability issues for both buyers and vendors, requiring training  

• Global Rollout, with constraints related to local languages in China, LATAM, and EU. 

SCOPE 

The project aimed to implement the S2P platform's full suite and integrate it with the client's ERP system, with a focus on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and cost control in procurement. The rollout required coordination for deployment of the platform across multiple physical client locations in order to enhance visibility, transparency across affiliates, and optimize overall costs. 

RESULT 

• Provision of full-time buyer support through a dedicated helpdesk. 

• Vendor onboarding support through the support helpdesk. 

• Managed new configurations/ enhancements and testing for live modules. 

• Additional training support upon request. 

• Conducted scheduled version upgrades to ensure system optimization. 

• Provided support in local languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, French) to address regional constraints. 

• Collaboration with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration support
